Epiphone casino china vs korea

Has anyone tried to put together a compendium of such differences? I don't see anything in the Wiki (haven't read all of it yet thought). The manufacturing of guitars should be constantly improving, becoming more efficient over the years, that is if Epiphone's management has kept up strict quality controls. My old 1990s Epiphone Sheraton II, from those fabled days of the Korean. Same goes for hardware and improvements, hardware snafus. Chinese Made Epiphone Casino Build Quality. If a guitar is going to have a better tone/sustain/etc than another then I would think that the first thing to question is the wood used and how it was used? In other words where did the mahogany come from, is the cap carved or veneer, is the mahogany body one piece or more? How was the neck set? How has Epiphone's production line changed through the years? What cost cutting was done, did it make and REAL difference in sound, play-ability, reliability? What changes improved the sound, play-ability, reliability? I would think that as long as Epiphone's production line is kept up to the same standards then it shouldn't make any difference in where a guitar was assembled.

One of my questions above 'What makes the Korean or Japanese made guitars better?' hasn't seen much of a reply.
